We're halfway through our first full week of school! Crazy to think that it's our 6th day of school! Your child brought home a couple of papers in their folders today. One was from our math series. It's an introduction to our first topic of instruction which has to do with Five and Ten Relationships. We'll be working with ten-frames and colored counters for most of this topic. This introduction page can be kept at home to work on and reinforce the skills we are working on in school. You do not need to send this back to school.
The other item sent home was a small yellow note from Highlights. If you would like to order Highlights, return the filled out order form back to me by September 4th and I will send them in. If you do not want to order, check the NO line, sign the form, and return it to school. We can get fun prizes for our classroom even by turning in the NO slips!
Thank you so much for your support in this first week of school. The students are doing a great job adjusting to first grade and getting along with one another. Keep up the great work!!
