Happy Friday!

Hello First Grade Families!  We made it through the first mini week of school!  Hooray!  The students are doing such a great job learning how to be first graders.  I am so proud of them!  Today your child brought home a few things.  One is a note about birthday treats.  Please try your hardest to follow these guidelines.  We are a PEANUT FREE room, so please keep this in mind when you are planning their birthday treats and/or snack options.  I feel that goody bags are the best option because the students get a variety of fun trinkets, toys, or food items that can be gone through at home.

Your child also brought home an "All About Me" poster.  I've attached a picture of my example so you can get an idea of what it will look like completed.  You can be as creative as you want with this!  It's not due until the end of August, but feel free to send it back to school with your child whenever it is completed.  We can start doing Star of the Day as soon as we get those in.

I'm so happy to be getting such positive reviews about this blog.  I'll try to post at least once or twice a week (maybe more if there's a lot going on), so be sure to check it so you can stay connected to our classroom.
