The first graders have been busy this week and have made two AMAZING achievements! They completed their first ever spelling and math tests! Hooray! From the looks of it, they did an amazing job. I will be grading them over the weekend and you will get them back on Tuesday.
The students brought home a few important papers. One is a reminder about Curriculum Night. It is being held this Thursday, September 6th and there are two sessions. The first is from 6:30-7 pm and the second session is from 7:05-7:35 pm. Please plan on attending one of the sessions. It's a great opportunity for me to meet all of you and for you to see what we learn in First Grade.
Also, the students brought home a bear to make out of construction paper. Please follow the instructions CAREFULLY. The students should be decorating the COLORED side of the bear. The white side is just a template so they cut out the bear correctly. They also brought home some Health homework which is about safety since we just finished that unit.
Please remember there is no school on Friday and we have Library on Tuesday. Please send the students to school with their library books!
Have a wonderful long weekend!!
Ms. Petrucci
