First Grade Families:
I will always post the current spelling words on the blog just in case the red page goes missing. On Tuesday your child will receive their story words (the blue cards). Those will serve as the bonus words for our spelling test. I'll post those along with a spelling activity to try at home to make practicing the words more fun!

Spelling activity to try at home:
Spelling Memory: Write each word on an index card. Repeat. Lay out the cards, word side facing down. Flip over two cards. Read each word. If the words are the same, keep them. If the words are different flip them back over and your turn is over. Keep playing until all the cards are matched.
Just so I know, will the bonus words always be on the blog? Or on the red spelling list as well? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe bonus words will always be on the blog and they get sent home weekly on those light blue cards. I also sent home a master list of all the bonus words for this story on a mint green sheet of paper. So they are all over the place! Thanks for checking!
