Quick Update

Hello! I just wanted to send a quick update to you all since there was a lot sent home today in folders. Your child brought home a small manila envelope today. That envelope is for the light blue word cards they received today. Please cut out the word cards and insert them into the envelope. Try to have your child practice READING the words every night. They do not need to know how to spell all the words unless they want an extra challenge for the spelling test. They will get assessed on the words at the end of the quarter. After 1st quarter is over, they will be getting different words, so you can dispose of the words they know how to read. They also brought home an orange field trip permission slip. We are walking to the Nature Center on Tuesday, September 17th in the afternoon. If you are free and would like to volunteer, that would be great! I love having lots of parents on these trips because we do walk there and I can use all the extra hands I can get! Our first math quiz is tomorrow and the test will be on Friday. I will send a study guide home tomorrow. This is optional, but will definitely help them prepare for the test on Friday. Thanks and have a great rest of your day! Ms. Petrucci
