Celebration of Learning Tonight!

Remember!  Celebration of Learning has been rescheduled for TONIGHT at 6:30 pm!  Please try your best to attend!  You do not have to be here the entire time (there's no schedule, just viewing the classroom and school) and your child REALLY wants to show off how hard he or she has been working all year!  I hope to see you tonight!

Today's trip to the Nature Center went very well!  We had perfect weather and we learned all about mammals and their different traits.  We even went on a scavenger hunt to look for different mammals using different clues.  It was a lot of fun and we even got to see the effects the flood had on the land at the Nature Center.

Here are some pictures from our day!

We made a river!  Complete with rocks, cattails and flowers!

Trying to figure out which items were fur and which were not

Looking at different types of fur found in nature

A sneaky group of raccoons!  We asked questions to find out if they were mammals... they are!

A sweet bunch of deer- we figured out those were mammals too!

A nice group of foxes- those are definitely mammals!

Look at these little frogs... wait- those aren't mammals!

Which team will sort the animals correctly?

Sorting mammals and non-mammals

Our lovely class :)
