Happy Friday after flood day!
I hope you all did not have too much water damage yesterday. I was thinking about you all!
Today's field trip went very well. The children enjoyed the play and also learned about bullying through different fairy tale adaptations of "Little Red Riding Hood", "The Ugly Duckling" and "The Billy Goats Gruff". Our class favorite was "The Ugly Duckling" because of the costumes!
We have a field trip on Monday to the Nature Center. Depending on the status of the grounds, we may have to cancel. I will keep you updated, especially if you are a chaperone. If we do have to cancel, I will try my best to reschedule if they have available times.
Monday is also Blue and White Spirit Day for Autism Awareness. Bring a quarter and wear your Benson spirit wear or blue and white. Also make sure the kids wear good walking shoes for the field trip and that they dress weather appropriate!
Another update.. Celebration of Learning has been rescheduled. It will be held at the same time, just on this Monday, April 22. I hope to see you all there! It really is a wonderful event to show off all the students' hard work!
We are starting our fifth and final reading book this Monday, so be on the look out for new spelling and story words. You can get rid of the old word cards to make room for the new ones that will be coming home!
Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend!!!
Ms. Petrucci
