This week's wrap up

We had a short, but great week!  The students enjoyed not one, but TWO assemblies today!  This morning, dancers from Hubbard Street 2 (the younger division of Hubbard Street Dance) came to show some of their pieces and to show different types of movement.  The students were captivated and excited by all the dancing and movement they saw.  It really was a fantastic assembly!

We were also visited by an author, who happens to also be one of my good friends, Joe Jurek.  Her wrote the book, "They Don't Make Books About Uncles".  He shared some of his background on how he became a writer, his inspiration for the book, and then he read us the story.  It's a very cute book, so if you happen to know some uncles, it would make an excellent gift.  The students brought home a yellow page with more information if you'd like to order it.

The students are busy getting everything ready for Celebration of Learning!  We can't wait for you all to see what we've been up to!

Also, don't forget to check their folders for their report cards! Make sure to send the signed, empty report back to school with them on Monday.  I'm so proud of all the students and the excellent progress they have made in 3rd quarter!  I can't believe we only have April and May left before the end of the year!!!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!  Enjoy the weather on Saturday!
:) Ms. Petrucci
